Endodontic access preparation calls for a bur that cuts dentine walls efficiently while leaving the pulpal floor untouched. That is the job of a safe-ended bur: the tip is rounded and non-cutting, so you can flare and smooth the access cavity without gouging the floor or perforating the furcation.
FG152, FGX152 and FGXL152 are tapered tungsten carbide burs with a smooth, non-cutting tip — the generic equivalent of the well-known Endo Z pattern. After initial penetration with a round or pear bur, use them to unroof the pulp chamber, remove dentine overhangs and blend the axial walls into a smooth, divergent access shape. The three versions cover standard, extended and extra-long shank needs for molars and deep chambers.
EX-24 (220-017M) and 190-016M apply the same end-safe principle in diamond: fast, smooth reduction of cavity walls with a guard tip, useful for refining ceramic or enamel margins around the access opening.
